Warning:

• Some types of colored media/pigments may stain your mat. (Watercolor paints will stain.) Staining does not change the properties of the mat. 

• This isn’t a craft mat designed for cutting. Avoid direct contact with tools with sharp edges such as pencils and knives. They will damage your mat.

• Oil based products (including gel plates and some cleaners) can chemically damage the mat causing unwanted swelling as it absorbs into the silicone.

• MELANIE B'S CLEANING HACK FOR STAINS•

1. I have been cleaning my silicone mat by combining hydrogen peroxide and baking soda and mixing it into a thick paste.

2. I apply it all over the stains, use an old toothbrush to gently scrub it into stubborn stains with hot water, and leave it overnight or for 6-8 hours.

3. I rinse that mixture off, and it has removed almost all (if not all) of the watercolor paint stains I have on my mat!
